Vandana Bali

Born in India, raised in New York and making her home in San Francisco, Vandana was surrounded by music from early childhood.  She sang her very first solo as a young child at her grandparents' party during winter vacation in India.  A classically trained vocalist with a 3-octave range, Vandana enjoys singing dramatic ballads, Broadway hits and standards. She trained with international opera diva Sylvia Kutchukian in New York. Her primary influences include Barbra Streisand, Sarah Vaughan, Celine Dion, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Patti LuPone, Olivia Newton-John, Whitney Houston and Michael Crawford. She has performed at festivals throughout Europe, performed the national anthem at a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, has been hired to sing at weddings and private events, and has performed at clubs in San Francisco, including the historic Empire Plush Room, Martuni's, Society Cabaret, the Octavia Lounge, and at clubs in New York City, including world-renowned cabaret lounge Don't Tell Mama.
